Shane Carthy
Principal
Professional Experience
Shane joined the firm as an Associate in 2021 and was promoted to Principal in 2023. Shane primarily focuses on raising debt and equity for commercial real estate investors and development clients. Shane also works closely with developers on securing commercial construction mortgages for development clients. Shane grew up in a construction and property environment where he gained a keen interest for all aspects of the business. Shane is also a licensed real estate agent.
Prior to FinanceBoston, Shane worked at Bank of Ireland in Dublin for four years where he became a Qualified Financial Advisor. Shane was a project manager, with his background primarily in residential and commercial mortgages.
Shane earned a full athletic and academic scholarship for both his Bachelor of Business Studies degree and Masters in Business Strategy from Dublin City University. Shane is also a former elite athlete having won three All-Ireland medals representing his county Dublin and Club St. Vincent’s playing Gaelic Football. He continues to play football in Boston and is an avid golfer and Skier.
